Ash Wednesday: Ashes Offered, Volunteers Needed
On February 26th, from 7 AM to 7 PM, Old First offers Ash Wednesday “Ashes on the Sidewalk” to anybody who wants them.
If you’re interested in getting ashes, stop by. But if you want to help, you can sign up for a two-hour slot to assist with ashes and providing breaks during the day. No ordination or previous experience is acquired; you will be assisting Pastor Daniel Meeter, who will teach you all that you need to do and say. It is a powerful and fulfilling ministry, greatly appreciated by the community.
